Supporting the busy in-house studio team to maintain the brand

The University of Hertfordshire is a thriving institution with over 35,000 students and a workforce of more than 3,000. With such a large and diverse community, the need for clear, consistent, and brand-aligned communication is constant – and complex.

In 2018, we successfully tendered to become one of the university’s approved design suppliers. Since then, we’ve built a strong, ongoing partnership with their in-house studio team, providing flexible support across a wide range of projects.

From day-to-day materials to flagship publications, we help ensure everything produced is on-brand, visually effective, and delivered smoothly. Our work includes:

  • High-profile reports such as Estates Vision 2035 and, for six years running, the annual Strategic Report and Financial Statements

  • Promotional materials and handbooks for a variety of faculties and departments

  • Ongoing support for other brands connected to the university.

I have worked with Jen and Jon at HeylinSmith for over five years and I love their passion and enthusiasm whenever I invite them to work on a new project with me. Their attention to detail, commitment, patience and communication skills are outstanding, and it’s reassuring to know that I can always rely on them to understand and deliver on our project objectives, provide an estimate on time and complete a project within the agreed deadline and to an exceptionally high standard.
— Debbie, Corporate Content Executive, Marketing and Communications

By embedding ourselves as a trusted extension of their internal team, we’ve helped ease pressure on their resources – while maintaining the high standards expected across all communications.
